Access for People with Disabilities and Mobility Problems
We welcome people with disabilities to our site. We also welcome assistance dogs, although regretfully we cannot allow any animals on our mill tours because of the strict hygiene restrictions relating to food preparation areas. Please contact us in advance of your visit if you have any particular questions.
The Visitor Centre site is set within an old farm yard. Access around the main courtyard is on paved stones with slight inclines in places.
Vehicles carrying people with limited mobility are permitted to stop at the drop-off point directly outside the main entrance. There are two dedicated parking bays available within the main car park for Blue Badge holders.
The toilet block within the Visitor Centre Shop has a separate wheelchair accessible toilet with level access. The toilet within the Scrumpy House Restaurant has level access but no separate wheelchair accessible toilet.
Visitor Centre and Cider Sales
Access to the counter area of the Shop and cider tasting area is without steps.
Orchard Tea Room
Access to the counter area of the Orchard Tea Room, indoor and outdoor seating is without steps.
To enter or exit the Play Park is on the level via a gate. Access around the Play Park is on rural surfaces, mainly cut grass, in keeping with the nature of the site. The natural surface has an incline that can be muddy and uneven and may cause some difficulty for visitors who have impaired mobility.
Westons is a working cider mill and the tour route can be difficult to negotiate. With slopes, uneven surfaces and several flights of stairs, regretfully our mill tours are not suitable for wheelchair users or for those with impaired mobility.
Scrumpy House Restaurant
Access to the restaurant, bar and seating is without steps.
